Fairtrade Fortnight is well underway and the QUB Greens played their part by organising Fairtrade Father Ted!

What better craic than a good cup of Fairtrade Tea with a couple of Father Ted Episodes! There was plenty of laughs and plenty of Fairtrade Tea, Coffee and Biscuits!

A special word of thanks to Fergus McAleavey Vice President Welfare of the Students Union for helping us to organise the event and for providing the Fairtrade Tea, Coffee and Biscuits!

Fairtrade is about better prices, decent working conditions, local sustainability, and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world. By requiring companies to pay sustainable prices (which must never fall lower than the market price), Fairtrade addresses the injustices of conventional trade, which traditionally discriminates against the poorest, weakest producers. It enables them to improve their position and have more control over their lives. for more information on the Fairtrade Vision!
